RISORGIVE CYCLE PATH
The Risorgive cycle path runs through the resurgence channel of the middle Veronese plain, which starts from Mincio (Valeggio s.M.) and reaches Adige (in the locality of Ca' Bombarda, the border between San Giovanni Lupatoto and Zevio, 12 km from the center of Verona) passing through the towns of Villafranca di Verona, Povegliano Veronese, Vigasio, Castel d'Azzano, and Buttapietra.
It is about 35 km long and the first 10 km between Valeggio and Villafranca are mostly unpaved on scenic country roads, while the 25 km between Villafranca and the Adige are asphalted and mostly on pleasant roads, which can be easily covered even on a racing bike.
Tip: The route is long and qualified as medium difficulty. We suggest that you bring a good supply of fresh water.

MINCIO CYCLEWAY
Mincio river cycle path starts from Peschiera del Garda and reaches Mantua following the course of the river itself. Mincio river is the absolute protagonist of this route, which in fact starts from Lake Garda in Peschiera and reaches Mantua where it forms the three lakes surrounding the city.
It is about 45 km long from north to south and it is a very easy track, well-marked and suitable for everyone, with a modest difference in height, completely asphalted and isolated from car traffic. Spring is the best period to go along it, but also the one in which it is busiest, especially on holidays.
Tip: One of the most frequent stops on this cycle path is Borghetto sul Mincio, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy; here you can stop for a pleasant and relaxing break on the banks of the river.

WINE ROUTE IN SIRMIONE
The starting and finishing point of the route is the peninsula of Sirmione, from the marvelous Scaligero castle. It is possible to reach the town of Sirmione also by boat starting from Peschiera del Garda.
It is 32 km long and may be covered in about 2.5 hours.
The route is a nice ride on two wheels through the Lugana wine vineyards.
It starts from Sirmione in the direction of San Martino della Battaglia, where we recommend a stop at the Tower, erected to honor the memory of king Vittorio Emanuele II and of those who fought for the independence and the unification of Italy in the Campaigns from 1848 to 1870.
The route continues to Pozzolengo and then to the lake at Punta Gro through the vineyards. Here you can stop and swim, before continuing on the cycle path back to Sirmione.
Tip: for those arriving by car is recommended to start from the parking lots in Colombare or
Lugana, since the center of Sirmione is often crowded.

MALCESINE: A PLUNGE INTO THE PAST ON THE SLOPES OF MONTE BALDO
Malcesine, also called the Pearl of the Lake, strikes its visitors for its beautiful scenery and the architectural setting of its historic center, suspended between water and mountains. It is very popular in summer, when water sports are popular, but continues to be a destination for magnificent walks amidst the well-kept olive groves and Mediterranean vegetation of the surrounding hills even in low season.
The centerpiece of Malcesine is certainly the Scaligero Castle which must be climbed up to reach the tower where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Lake Garda. The historic center retains its medieval origins, walking through the various cobbled streets almost seems to relive those times. There are several workshops of painters, sculptors and craftsmen who exhibit their works: the processing of iron and olive wood in small objects of furniture seems to have a particular attention.
The ultra-modern cable car departs from Malcesine and takes tourists to the top of Monte Baldo at 1780m, making an intermediate stop at San Michele station (1000m). The cable car is equipped with cabins which rotate on themselves, so that all occupants may enjoy a spectacular all-round view. Well-equipped ski slopes operate at the top in winter.
Tip (for adventure lovers): hang gliders and paragliders use the same ski slopes as a springboard throughout the year to launch themselves into the void in panoramic flight over Lake Garda. Even those who love mountain biking in Malcesine can have fun going down the trails and cycle paths.

A ROMANTIC GETAWAY ON THE ISLAND OF GARDA
The Island of Garda is just 200 meters from the Brescia shore of San Felice del Benaco. It is the largest island of Lake Garda and belongs to the Cavazza family who still live there. The island has been open to visitors since 2002 thanks to organized tours.
The island was inhabited in Roman times, but was then abandoned during the fall of the Roman Empire and, for centuries, bands of pirates who went to attack the boats on the lake found refuge there.
The Island of Garda today owes its charm to the extraordinary Venetian neo-Gothic style villa, rich in surprising architectural details and all around, the vegetation is lush and untouched, rich in local and exotic plants, rare essences and unique flowers.
“Scoglio dell'Altare” (Altar Rock) is located near the island and is one of the most popular diving sites on Lake Garda. The wall descends to a depth of 150 meters and is famous for two large balconies covered with yellow sponges and a cave which provides shelter to large specimens of lake fish. It is said that here, once upon a time, a mass was celebrated every year and attended by fishermen from all over the lake aboard their boats.
